ACCT 152

Starting this year, the GSB offers courses designated for undergraduate students. Specifically, ACCT 152 Introduction to Financial Accounting. 

The course is modeled after their required class on financial accounting for MBA students. Just as in the MBA program, the course is structured around real-world case studies that allow students to take the learning beyond the textbook and acquire the skills necessary to understand financial statements of actual companies.  The class size is restricted to allow for engaging discussions and plenty of interaction with the instructor. 

They offer the course in the Autumn and Spring quarter. (For students that may wish to join the course this quarter, please contact Prof. Kevin Smith (instructor) at kevinsm@stanford.edu).

The course is valuable for students that are interested in a career in business, aspiring entrepreneurs as well as students that may consider joining an MBA program in the future and want to get an idea of what to expect.
