First Round Knowledge Coordinator
Our mission at First Round Capital is to build and serve the strongest community of entrepreneurs. At the highest level, the Knowledge Coordinator is dedicated to making every experience for our founders, network and First Round team valuable, actionable, and of the highest caliber. You will be responsible for helping execute our Knowledge Program's event strategy (which includes over 75 individual events every year) and managing First Round's physical space.
Starting a company is lonely, and founders have to make difficult decisions every day with imperfect information. It turns out the best safety net is the advice and experience of fellow entrepreneurs. Whenever First Round's Knowledge Program gets them in a room to talk to each other, magic happens. That’s why our events — ranging from cozy Salons to major summits — are designed to get real, vulnerable conversations started, and to make sure people leave with new ideas and actions they can apply immediately to keep growing and getting better.
This role includes everything from meticulously tracking everyone's RSVP, to being on the frontline engaging with our extremely high caliber network. You also must be thoughtful about making the First Round office an incredible place for our team to work and a remarkable venue for our guests to visit.
Here's just a few of the things you'll be doing:
- Support the design and execution of events that build our community and bring people together
- Be the first point of contact for everyone from prospective founders to the CEOs who walk through our doors everyday
- Invent and own the overall First Round Office experience end to end, including expense management, booking our event space, and liaising with the landlord

You love the nitty gritty of operations. You most likely have a color coded calendar and can make lists for days. When you're tracking and organizing things, you're in your happy place. There's no other option for you but extreme perfectionism and focus on the details. We sweat the small stuff here and it shows.
You're an execution machine. When you're tasked with something, it's as good as done with the utmost thought and care. You feel a sense of accomplishment after seeing a project come to fruition and can't wait to take on the next task with the same level of energy.
Tech fascinates you. You don’t necessarily need deep knowledge of venture capital and startups, but you should want to learn it fast. You’re enthralled by what the future holds and how entrepreneurs are succeeding to get us there.
You are humble. You understand that office management and events are not just about building and executing robust game plans, but also about anticipating people's needs before they even realize it. In order to deliver this level of experience, there is no task too big or too small for you to tackle.
