2020 UChicago Midwest Trading Competition
The University of Chicago and the UChicago Financial Markets (FM) Program are excited to host the 8th Annual UChicago Midwest Trading Competition. This event is the nation’s premier algorithmic trading competition, bringing together students from across the nation with a passion for trading and quantitative finance. Test your ability to build profitable trading algorithms against students from other top universities for the chance to win cash prizes!

Competition Details
Location: Chicago, IL
April 17th | 2:00PM | Registration and Kick-Off Events
Our two-day event will kick-off at 2:00PM with various educational and networking events hosted by our platinum employer sponsors in Downtown Chicago
April 18th | 8:00AM Trading Competition | 6:00PM Platinum Sponsor Poker Night
The Trading Competition will begin at 8:00AM at the Polsky Exchange at The University of Chicago, 1452 E. 53rd Street in Hyde Park. Immediately following the competition, students will attend a poker night event hosted by one of our platinum sponsors.
*Please note: To be eligible for prize money, you must attend all Trading Competition events.
Additional Competition Details
· Teams will consist of three to four students from the same institution
· Multiple teams from the same University will be considered
· At least one team member must be able to code in Python
· Case studies will be sent in advance to provide time to create and test custom algorithms
· Participants will be reimbursed at least $200 to cover hotel expenses in Chicago
