Job description:

The SWB associate will support SWB leaders in the following activities, among others: 

  • Contacting board recruiters at venture capital firms, private equity firms, executive recruiting firms and Nominating Committees of Boards of Directors to ask for their active board search profiles.

  • Matching SWB member profiles to board search profiles and recommending qualified candidates to board recruiters.

  • Supporting the SWB Technology Committee in developing an easy-to-use, automated process for recruiters to find qualified SWB candidates.

  • Supporting the SWB Outreach Committee in maximizing the number of board searches which include SWB candidates.

  • 20 hours/month time commitment (including the summer months, if possible)

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and verbal skills.

  • Enthusiasm for working with third-party data bases and manual processes while at the same time working to improve and automate our processes.

  • Curiosity: Interest in learning about Board of Directors processes and priorities.

  • Determination: Commitment to working hard to further the mission of SWB.

  • Compensation: None
