Bike and Teach Across America

For the past three summers, Stanford students have biked across the country in order to teach hands-on STEM workshops to middle and high school students. Stanford Spokes bikes from San Francisco to Washington D.C., crossing over 3,600 miles and climbing over 170,000 ft of elevation gain.

Don't worry if you have little to no experience with biking or teaching; many Spokes alums didn't either. What matters is your commitment and excitement for education. We have taught everything from Chemistry to Mindfulness to Neuroscience to Astronomy! We emphasize project-based, hands-on curriculum designed with students in mind.
