About EVCA:The Emerging Venture Capitalist Association is a non-profit (EIN: 83-4254999) and community of over 430 pre-partner venture capitalists.

About the EVCA Fellowship Program:

This is a yearlong, mostly unstructured, fellowship for 15 university students interested in venture capital.

Fellows will formulate 1-2 goals that they hope to accomplish by the end of the program. Some of the goals could include: increasing your knowledge of a particular industry/sector, developing a greater understanding of the venture capital industry, broadening your network of venture capitalists, understanding how investors evaluate companies, improving your interviewing skills for venture capital internships and full-time positions.

Each quarter, fellows will gather for a dinner in Palo Alto with VC partners and accomplished startup founders. The first two dinners will be with Tim Guleri, Managing Director at Sierra Ventures and Shahin Farshchi, Partner at Lux Capital.

Fellows will be assigned to 1-2 EVCA vertical co-leads who will mentor and guide them through the program. Fellows will meet with their mentors every 4-6 weeks in person or over the phone and may also work on various projects with the co-leads that support that particular vertical. Projects could include: meeting additional vertical members to learn about a particular topic and publish a blog post with their commentary and your industry research, organizing a state-of-the-industry call with a subject matter expert and vertical members, coordinating a fireside chat or speaker panel with various partners at VC firms.
