ABOUT THE FIRM
Based in Bangkok, MQDC is Thailand’s leading developer in large-scale mixed-use projects. In past projects, the firm worked with world-class firms such as Foster + Partners, Gensler, ARUP and AECOM. MQDC is known for setting up the first Apple Store in Thailand and bringing the first Waldorf Astoria brand to Southeast Asia.
ABOUT THE PROJECT TEAM
The Project Development Team (PD Team) is responsible for developing an upcoming 2.5 million square feet mixed-use development in Bangkok, Thailand. Working closely with the CEO Office, the PD Team is responsible for developing the project from land acquisition and design to finance and construction. The current stage of the project includes working closely with international master planners and architects, and forging business partnerships with world-class firms for various programs within the project.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As an intern, you will be exposed to the many facets of the real estate industry including: finance, development, marketing, legal, acquisition, and design. You will gain hands-on experience working on projects in various aspects, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside all team members. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the feasibility studies (pro forma) and business plans for each program of the projectReview the work submitted by both local and international consultancy & architect firmsAssist with presentations, market research, acquisition due diligenceExposure and involvement in multidisciplinary meetings include design, structure, construction teamsVisit construction sites of other MQDC projects and potential acquisition sitesTake initiation on preliminary feasibility/massing study to facilitate land acquisitions
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing master’s or bachelor’s degree in real estate related fields including but not limited to urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, finance, and business management
Proficient with Microsoft ExcelExceptional organizational skillsMust be flexible, detail-oriented and comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environmentAbility to interact and communicate professionally with a variety of people including executives, consultants, and clients
Note: The internship program will run from May through August with exact dates to be determined upon discussion. Interns will work full-time Monday through Friday 9 am – 6 pm. Compensation will be provided commensurate with experience. Visa, work permit and accommodation can be arranged. Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
