Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab: Undergraduate Research Assistant Positions in Summer Quarter
Are you looking for an amazing research opportunity at the intersection of diversity, education, workplaces, and leadership? The Stanford VMware Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab is hiring part- and full-time Undergraduate Research Assistants (URAs) for Summer Quarter 2020. Any Stanford undergraduate student is welcome to apply. The lab emphasizes that pathways to leadership cannot be understood in the absence of an intersectional lens on the world’s power structures.
Primary duties for the URA positions include but are not limited to:
Creating databases on workforce characteristics of a stratified sample of U.S. companies
Developing statistical models and analyzing a variety of quantitative data
Generating data visualization for reports and presentations
Review of previous literature is also anticipated
Outcomes could include co-authorship of a report, conference poster, or paper. Familiarity with one or more statistical packages, and/or previous course work in social identity and group characteristics such as race/ethnicity and gender are preferred but not required.
Those interested should send a letter of interest (not to exceed one page) and resume (including list of pertinent courses taken) to Dr. Shannon Gilmartin at shannong@stanford.edu. Please indicate in your letter if you are seeking a full- or part-time position. All work will be done remotely, as per current stay-at-home orders.
