Silicon Valley + Europe ASES VC Panel
Interested in understanding how to finance your startup? Why are accelerators important and how does the venture capital ecosystem operate within Europe and the United States? ASES is hosting a VC panel with King's College featuring a couple of US and European funds on March 30 @ 11 AM PST.
Panelists:
Joseph Huang (CEO of StartX): Joseph initially launched his startup WiFiSLAM with help from the StartX accelerator, prior to selling his company to Apple and taking on the role as CEO of StartX.
Ethan Kurzweil (Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners): Ethan helped co-found SSB-Bart Group and is a board member of various other companies, alongside also being Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. A group with a global spread who has participated in multiple IPOs (including those for LinkedIn, Skype, Wix, Yelp and Shopify).
Hendrik Brandis (Co-Founder of Earlybird VC): Hendrik co-founded Earlybird VC — an early-stage investor which operates across the European sphere. Alongside his experience as board member of 14 companies (including Isar Aerospace and NFON), he was also a partner at McKinsey & Company where he helped in the creation of McKinsey New Venture
Oliver Heimes (Partner at Lakestar): Oliver works in healthcare and real estate opportunities through his role as Partner at the Swiss VC firm, Lakestar. They focus on investing in tech entrepreneurs to promote growth in multiple sectors.
