Why apply to our FYSBA internship?

The FYSBA internship provides an introduction to the many ways McKinsey creates positive, enduring change in the world. No matter what project you are on, you will do work that matters and makes a meaningful difference.

As part of this work, you will have:

·        Support of a team while being given autonomy and ownership–you do the work, you present it!

·        Exposure to senior leadership

·        Flexibility in the type of work you do on a day-to-day basis

·        A high focus on professional development and strengths-based feedback

·        Ability to explore different industries and functions

·        Co-creating the answer with team members and clients

How is the FYSBA internship structured?

They start our support for FYSBAs before the summer with an optional pre-internship connectivity experience. Once you join, you are provided with a week of training, and a partner from your local office or practice is assigned to you to help guide you throughout your internship.

You will work with McKinsey colleagues, owning a distinct piece of the project. Some examples of the specific work may include interviewing stakeholders and experts, leading teams, building financial models, creating and delivering presentations, and working with McKinsey subject experts to develop perspectives and insights.

You will also participate in learning modules throughout the summer as well as a range of social activities to get to know your office and the firm. At the end of the summer, you will lead a presentation during the FYSBA symposium with your peers, showcasing your accomplishments and key learnings.
