Full-Time Talent Analyst Role at Mainsail Partners

Role: Talent Analyst

Mainsail is seeing a Talent Analyst to report to the Operating Partner who leads Talent. Joining Mainsail’s talent team, this person will play a key supportive role in the firm’s efforts to create value for its dynamic portfolio of fast-growing companies through the identification, recruitment and assessment of top, executive-level talent.

Responsibilities:

The day-to-day will encompass 2 main components:

1) Portfolio Executive Sourcing: Support executive searches conducted by the Mainsail talent team by providing thoughtful/analytical research, sourcing candidates/feeding the top of funnel pipeline to active searches, updating all notes and relevant information into the database and conducting an initial phone screen interview.

2) Talent Data/Ops: Maintain (and improve) the talent database. Support management of all talent performance metrics across internal talent projects, as well as cross-portfolio HR KPI’s. Also, several times per year, they will review the performance of their portfolio companies, which includes portfolio talent. The Talent Analyst will be the linchpin in fostering critical data and creating initial draft slides to depict accurate talent performance.

In addition, the Talent Analyst will:

► Work closely with the talent team to track, measure, enhance and evolve all recruiting efforts within the portfolio.

► Proactively maintain the Mainsail talent database while improving data quality and data integrity.

► Keep portfolio and market executive compensation data current.

► Assist (Hogan) executive assessment coordination, data collection and team results analysis.

► Assist the deal team on an as-needed basis to create quick hit search lists of candidates relevant to prospective companies.

Qualifications/Experience:

► Undergraduate degree is required.

► Strong written and verbal skills.

► Excellent analytical skills.

► Must be very organized.

► Self-starter.

► Strong attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment, working with a sense of urgency.

► Experience navigating and crafting compelling Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.

► Prior exposure to executive search is preferred, but not required.
