Ukko
Want to learn more about the food and ag biotech space? Ukko is looking for a motivated undergraduate student to lead a few research projects for the start-up (see brief summary of Ukko below). The time commitment is approximately 4 to 5 hours a week. The intern would work with Stanford MBA on research and gain exposure to start-up ecosystem and Ukko's co-founders. If interested, please reach out to Kate Abercrombie (kabercro@stanford.edu) by March 1st.
Ukko is an early-stage startup using cutting-edge technology to improve the lives of the millions of people who suffer from food allergies and sensitivities. Ukko uses patient data and machine learning to guide the engineering of food proteins that can be incorporated into food products, plants and therapeutics. Examples of end products include hypoallergenic peanuts and celiac safe wheat that maintain all existing qualities (taste, nutritional value, yield etc) but no longer trigger an immune response.
