Higher Ground Part-Time Paid Marketing Assistant

A part-time business and marketing executive assistant to the CEO of fast-moving consumer electronics startup.

Role Overview
Our CEO has too much to do!  He needs help following leads, finding new ones, calling companies, scheduling meetings, and so on.  We want a smart, marketing-focused, aspiring entrepreneur looking to learn about the hustle of a startup from the inside.  Your job will start as aiding and coordinating the funding leads for the boss and grow to helping research new opportunities.  You will also aid in design, documentation, and coordination of usability testing.  The more you can take on, the more responsibility you’ll be given.  The position is part time at the start, with potential to go full time over your summer as an internship.

Company Description
 Higher Ground LLC has built a small, inexpensive, smartphone peripheral that enables you to send texts even when you are outside of cell coverage.   We do this with satellites.  We believe this to be a great product for all of us who go camping, fishing, hiking, cycling and are fed up with poor connectivity.   We are in the beginning of our product beta testing.  

Required Qualifications:  

• Pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering Management Degree

• Organized, takes initiative, eager to learn

• Great listening and communications skills - comfortable cold calling  

• Extremely detail oriented
